I AM LOKING FOR A USED OR REASONABLY PRICED NEW 3 PT HITCH KIT FOR MY JD855. IT CAME WITH A 7 BACKHOE, SO THE 3 PT HITCH WAS NOT WITH IT. JD PARTS SHOWS THIS AS AN OBSOLETE ITEM AS A KIT, BUT YOU CAN BUY ALL THE PIECES SEPARATELY, AND IT GETS EXPENSIVE. ANY HELP OR SITES FOR USED PARTS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

The link below goes to a list of salvage yards. I don't know how good it is, but I do know that many yards have little if any parts for compacts. You might try a web search for something like 'used compact tractor parts.' ....

shamil, although the Deere parts website shows the hitch kit as an obsolete item; it can in most cases still be ordered. Check with your local dealer and ask their parts dept. to order it. If they won't or you run into problems let me know and I can put you in touch with my friend Ricky and he can have it drop shipped to you if the hitch kits are still in the supply system. ....

I just ordered my power beyond kit for my JD790. We went in circles for a bit, because JD Parts said that the part was obsolete.
I had ordered it from Ricky since he helped me find it.
When I the Rear Hydo Kit, the manual said it was for 660/770, I think, and it fit the 790 like a charm. So my guess is some of the parts are backward compatible.

Below is the 855 heavy duty 3 pt. hitch kit listed under part # BM18186 and lists for $408. The standard duty hitch kit may be exhausted stock but you can still use the heavy duty hitch. Might be worth a shot. Good luck! ....
